SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY
BlueStem ships via FedEx with the option to ship lighter packages
via the postal service. All shipments to Canada are through the
postal service. Canadian purchasers should e-mail prior to purchase
as additional postal and insurance expense may apply.
All packages shipped via FedEx will require a signature upon delivery
with the following exceptions:
1. If purchaser requests that a signature NOT be obtained at delivery,
then purchaser voluntarily waives their right to claim non-delivery
or theft prior to their taking physical possession of the package;
OR
2. Purchaser may provide a business address to ship to which must
include the name of the business, the street address (no post office
boxes), the city, state and zip.
Please be sure to give us the correct shipping address. Customer
is responsible for any re-direction/re-delivery fees. If shipping
is through FedEx, we will require a "physical" address
(no rural route or post office box addresses). If notified that
your rural address does not have a "physical" address,
we will ship to a rural route address at your risk.
BlueStem Winery takes pride in its ability to package its products
for safe delivery. In the event that a package arrives with any
of the contents damaged, BlueStem will file a damage claim with
FedEx or the post office. You (the customer) are responsible for
retaining the packing carton, all packing materials and the damaged
item pending a possible inspection request by either FedEx or the
postal service. Damage claims must be submitted to BlueStem Winery
within 3 days of delivery of the package.
Because of the inability of website shipping calculators to fairly
calculate shipping expense, BlueStem has opted to have only a $6.00
one-time handling charge on each order placed. SHIPPING FOR ANY
SIZE ORDER IS FREE!
No returns accepted without prior consent. Please contact us prior
to returning an item(s). All returns are subject to a 20% restocking
fee and are to be shipped back at purchaser’s expense.
When a return is necessary because of a mistake made by BlueStem
(we really try to avoid these!) you will receive either product
replacement, 100% credit or a refund (plus an apology).

contact us for more information BEFORE placing an order and we will
be happy to assist you.
Purchases can be made from the website seven days per week, 365
days a year. Shipments are sent out Monday through Friday excluding
postal holidays.
Feel free to call the store if you have questions or if you wish
to place your order via the phone instead of via the website. The
store’s telephone number is (319) 346-1046. The store is open
from 11:00 to 5:00 Wednesday through Saturday and from Noon to 4:00
on Sunday (Central Time). Although the store is closed on Monday
and Tuesday there is a high probability that we will be around and
be able to answer your questions or take your order. The store is
closed New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th and Christmas
Day.
All orders placed from or shipped to addresses within the State
of Iowa are subject to sales tax of 7%.
